Frequently Asked Questions
Q. When should I book a maternity session?
The best time to shoot is generally at 30-36 weeks (7-8 months), so be sure to book in advance as I only have a limited number of maternity sessions each month.
Q. What should I wear?
I have several dresses in my studio wardrobe that you are welcome to wear. I am also happy to help you choose a dress or send you ideas and links.
Q. How long does a maternity session take?
The session will be between 1-1.5 hours. I will walk you through each step from poses, to wardrobe changes. My sessions are very relaxed. I want you to be comfortable and in your element. We won’t be taking photos the entire time, but here and there as we chat and get to know each other.
Q. Where does the session take place?
The session can take place in my studio in Old Town Alexandria at 113 S. Saint Asaph Street, or various outdoor locations around Northern Virginia and the DC area. I can provide several ideas for you to choose from.
