Rachel and I connected back in February. She found me on Instagram and said she loved the “rich, deep colors and light” in my photos and would like to have a special engagement session for her and her fiance since they had to completely reimagine their wedding. I suggested May at Sky Meadows because I thought the scenery, light and colors would be just what she was looking for. It was absolutely gorgeous and sunny when we arrived that afternoon, and I started with taking a few shots of her beautiful ring while we waited for the sun to get a little lower. We started around the stone house/visitor center and then walked up the hill where we were greeted by so many cows! It’s a pretty short walk up to the Piedmont Overlook to get an incredible view. Her blue dress was stunning with all the green and golden afternoon sun, I couldn’t wait to get home and look at them all!
Rachel and Matt decided on a “tiny wedding” in Old Town next month, and I am so excited to be able to work with them again on their special day, in one of my favorite locations!
