Coral Cove Park, FL

Last summer I fell in love with beach light at sunset when I did 2 sessions at Kitty Hawk, NC. When I planned a trip in October to Palm Beach, FL with my cousins Shelia and Stephanie I knew I wanted to do at least one photo shoot while I was there and I was SO happy to have connected with Briana (instagram @palmbeachmoms and FB Palm Beach Moms) and her 3 adorable girls. We exchanged a few emails to try to decide on a location – she knew all the best spots! We originally thought Blowing Rock Preserve would be a great location but it closed at sunset so we decided on Coral Cove Park – a quiet beach with amazing natural limestone. This was a true “lifestyle” session because I only took a few posed photos – the girls loved exploring the limestone, shells, and natural pools that formed with the incoming tide. We started in full sun which is such a challenge so I decided not to worry about getting even light – my goal was to capture these moments of the girls with their mom, messy beach hair, collecting shells, sitting in the water in their dresses!! The next time I’m there I’ll be sure to return to this spot at sunrise, and Blowing Rock Preserve is still on my list!
